There is a unique opportunity to meet many new students within the first couple of weeks of a new semester. You want to be intentional and strategic, spending more time on campus to engage with students. They are more willing to try new things, new clubs, find a new community, etc.
This page is to provide ideas on what events you can consider hosting during the first couple of weeks of the semester, or also called "welcome week."
The focus of these events is not simply to host a fun event, but to invite students to hear the gospel, and witness the gospel at work among your Christian students.
*No matter what activities you plan for your campus, remember the goal is to share the gospel; meet new students and follow up with a gospel appointment!Â
Tabling or Cold Evangelism on campus is crucial to meeting new students not just during welcome week, but consistently throughout the semester. Consider doing it everyday for a week or two at the start of a new school year and semester to meet new students.
